Out of the machine
Gashapon (ガシャポン) are collectible figures from Japanese capsule machines. The name comes from the “gasha” of the crank and the “pon” of the dropping capsule. Every turn is a surprise – whole series are built to be collected and traded.
Small but mighty
Despite the mini format, there's real detail in a capsule. Moving parts, clean paintwork, clever mechanics – makers like Bandai have spent decades pushing what fits in a few centimetres.
