More about Die Tagebücher der Apothekerin
The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto in the original) began in October 2011 as a web novel by Hyūganatsu on the platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō. In 2012 the publisher Shufunotomo released a first single volume; since August 2014 the series has run there as a light novel illustrated by Touko Shino.
At its centre is Maomao, an apothecary with a sharp eye for poisons and medicine who solves puzzles at the imperial court. Jinshi, above all, shapes the story alongside her.
Two manga adaptations grew out of the source: one from Square Enix (Monthly Big Gangan, since 2017) and one from Shogakukan (Monthly Sunday Gene-X, also since 2017). The page lists figures, manga and plush, including Nendoroid versions of the two leads.
