Toradora! began as a light novel series by Yuyuko Takemiya, illustrated by Yasu. ASCII Media Works published ten volumes under Dengeki Bunko, from March 2006 to March 2009. At its centre are Ryuji Takasu and Taiga Aisaka, two outsiders who set out to help each other win over their respective crushes and fall for each other along the way. The title is built from their names: tora for the tiger, dora for the dragon.
A manga by Zekkyō and a 25-episode anime followed. J.C.Staff produced it under director Tatsuyuki Nagai, with scripts by Mari Okada; it aired on TV Tokyo from October 2008 to March 2009.
The figures here centre mostly on Taiga Aisaka, and further pieces have been announced.
