More about Kantai Collection
Kantai Collection, KanColle for short, is a Japanese browser game that launched on 23 April 2013. It was developed by Kadokawa Games and published by DMM.com; Kensuke Tanaka is producer and director. No purchase is required to play: players assemble fleets, send them on missions and build them up.
The ships are Second World War warships that appear in the game as girls, the "Fleet Girls" (Kanmusu). Their enemy is the Abyssal Fleet, the ghosts of sunken ships. The game has led to manga, light novels and, in 2015, a twelve-episode anime series by Diomedéa.
The range includes Nendoroids, prize figures and an announced Plamatea model kit.
