Graf Zeppelin - Aoshima / FunnyKnights

Aoshima and FunnyKnights have released this pretty, high quality statue of Graf Zeppelin from the online card game Kantai Collection. The real ship was named after Count Ferdinant von Zeppelin, who is most likely known best for his company's airships. To this day Graf Zeppelin is the only German aircraft carrier ever built. She was not yet operational at the day of her launching, but only 85% finished, because priorities changed at the beginning of World War II. She was supposed to be the naming ship of the Zeppelin-Class, but the construction of the second ship was canceled shortly after the laying down of the keel. At the moment she and Aquila are the only ships in Kantai Collection whose real counterparts were not finished. Because some of the other ship girls also have fantasy elements, her illustrator gave Graf Zeppelin a short cape with a Celtic knot on it, based on western magicians. On her belt she wears a box with metal cards which must be put into the flight deck so planes can appear on it and take flight. I say, it's time to duel!
