Funko has existed since 1998; the company was founded by Mike Becker, initially for bobbleheads. The Pop! line came about in 2010: a preview series of DC figures appeared at San Diego Comic-Con, and Pop! was officially presented in 2011 at the New York Toy Fair.
The look is based on the Japanese chibi style: a large, squarish head, a small body and round, black eyes. The figures are mostly 9 cm tall, with 10 and 15 cm variants also available.
The shop carries figures from anime and manga series such as My Hero Academia, One Piece, Pokémon and Naruto Shippuden. Most cost under €20.
