- David von Michelangelo
Michelangelo's David is supposedly the most famous statue in the history of art. He was chiseled from a single block of marble and stands 5,17 m tall. The weight is estimated at six tons. Michelangelo worked on this statue in Florence 1501-1504, and in this town the original is kept to this day, while copies can be seen all over the world. David is the famous biblical character from the Book of Samuel. Different from other works he is portrayed before his fight against Goliath. Over his left shoulder hangs the slingshot he uses as a weapon.
The Table Museum is a series of figmas featuring famous works of art, and of course David cannot be missing. He comes with a special base for the classical posture as well as a figma stand and various exchangeable parts for variants of it. He can actually move his eyes! For example, try to let him spin his slingshot, a posture which might have been very much conceivable for a David statue. However, he can also assume poses you would most likely never see in an art gallery, and he still looks like a man made of marble. Who was, by the way, depicted anatomically very accurately by Michelangelo, if you take my meaning. With this figma you can take home a piece of art history and do some mischief with it! Have fun!
