Miho Nishizumi - Winning Flag - Ques Q

Caution! Spoilers ahead!

The anime series *Girls und Panzer* is about Miho Nishizumi, who transfers to another school to avoid getting involved with senshadō, the “way of the tank“, because her mother has a slightly different opinion than herself about how this sport should be practiced. However, shortly after that, senshadō is revived at her school and she is asked to help, as she hails from a traditional senshadō family. Miho descovers the joy of driving a tank anew, gains many friends and even wins the Senshadō National Senior High School Tournament with her team at the end of the series, defeating the team of her own sister, who strictly follows their mother's way, in the finals.

Here we see Miho with the winning flag of the Tournament, as she is shown in the anime during the victory ceremony. She wears the senshadō uniform of Ōarai Girls High School, which looks a bit more military than her usual green-and-white school uniform.

The red flag is quite flashy and shows an eagle on top of a tank, surrounded by a laurel wreath. The small kanji at the upper edge mean *Senshadō National Senior High School Tournament* and the two big ones *overall victory*.

For those of you who like to train Kanji, here are some words (no warranty):

• 戦車道 (せんしゃどう) – senshadō
• 全国 (ぜんこく) – national
• 高校生 (こうこうせい) – senior high school
• 大会 (たいかい) – tournament
• 優勝 (ゆうしょう) – Overall Victory. Can also mean tournament, but the first meaning is more logical here.
