The Gundam anime series is probably among the most famous ones out there and the mecha weapons of the same name are an integral part of the otaku subculture in a way. The fourteenth Gundam series is Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. It started out in 2015 and followed up with a second season. The series re-unites a team that brought us Toradora and Anohana before which you might not expect from a Gundam release.
With Mikazuki Augus, we see the protagonist of the series as a Megahouse figure that captures him well. He is a rather quiet character and can't handle social situations but at the same time an amazing pilot for his Gundam "Barbatos". He leads his machine from victory to victory. The style of the animation work in the series has been recreated very well and lets him look amazingly good. Mikazuki comes in a cool dynamic pose putting on the Tekkadan ajcket while following Orga who is released at the same time.
