10 Count

Tadaomi Shirotani suffers from mysophobia. This is a very pronounced form of fear of dirt and germs. Affected people cannot touch other people or objects without feeling disgusted afterwards. In addition, they have to wash their hands so often that they are more than wounds. The life if one suffers from Mysophobie is very limited. Shirotani is lucky to be able to avoid the contacts he despises so much in his work as a secretary because his boss Mr. Kuramoto has a lot of consideration for his employee and treats him very sympathetically. But when his boss has an accident one day and Shirotani can't help because of his phobia, he blames himself.

Riku Kurose helps his boss, who not only saves Shirotani's boss, but also recognizes his illness immediately. After a long time of overcoming the illness, he finally ends up with Kurose as a therapist. He is willing to help Shirotani free of charge and as a friend.Kurose calls on Shirotani to draw up a list of ten activities that disgust him in ascending order. So they begin to work through the list point by point, starting with Shirotani's first point, using the door handle without his gloves. The tenth point on the list was left blank by Shirotani. He can't explain why a wild stranger suddenly wants to help him and Kurose promises Shirotani to tell him his motives if he fills in his tenth Point.

Gradually Shirotani tries to work through all the points with Kurose, but that turns out to be not so easy. In addition, they both carry a heavy burden from the past with them, which confronts them with some confrontations and although Shirotani builds up more and more trust in Kurose and so can handle more and more tasks, Kurose suddenly keeps her at a distance. Deeply affected by this, Shirotani takes big steps back and realizes how important Kurose is for him. Kurose also feels much more than friendship for Kurose, who suffers from mysophobia, and so the two get closer and closer.

Ten Count manages to connect Boy Love with the serious topic of a person suffering from mysophobia. This and the beautiful drawing style of the Managaka Rihito Takarai make the Manga worth reading. For Boys-Love and Yaoi fans a real feast for the eyes.
