The Thousand-Year Blood War is the final story arc of Tite Kubo's manga Bleach (volumes 55 to 74). The Quincy ruler Yhwach and the Wandenreich declare war on the Soul Society, and Ichigo Kurosaki's last battle begins.
Studio Pierrot's first anime series ran from 2004 to 2012 and ended, after 366 episodes, before this arc. Bleach only returned in 2022 with Thousand-Year Blood War: the sequel started on TV Tokyo on 11 October 2022, with Tite Kubo as general supervisor. The second part aired from July 2023.
