More about Chobits
Chobits is a manga by the artist collective CLAMP. It ran from 2000 to 2002 in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine and was collected in eight volumes. At its centre is Hideki Motosuwa, a student repeating his entrance year in Tokyo, who finds a persocom (a computer in the shape of a girl) on the street and takes her home: Chii.
Together the two look into Chii's origins and into the question of how humans and computers relate to each other. The story is set in the same universe as Angelic Layer, a few years later. In 2002 Madhouse adapted it as an anime series for TBS, directed by Morio Asaka; its ending departs from the manga.
This page lists figures of Chii, the Luxury Edition and single volumes of the manga, and an artbook.
