More about Gate: Jieitai Kano Chi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri
Gate: Jieitai Kano Chi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri (roughly: The Self-Defense Forces Fight Thus in That Place) is a fantasy series by Takumi Yanai. It was serialized from 2006 to 2009 on the author platform Arcadia, then taken over in 2010 by the publisher AlphaPolis, which released it as a light novel illustrated by Daisuke Izuka and Kurojishi.
A manga adaptation by Satoru Sao followed in 2011. The anime adaptation by A-1 Pictures, directed by Takahiko Kyōgoku, aired in two halves, from July to September 2015 and from January to March 2016; its character designs follow the light novel illustrations.
The range includes statues of Rory Mercury as well as Petanko Rubber Straps featuring the main characters.
