More about Magi - The Labyrinth of Magic
Magi - The Labyrinth of Magic is a fantasy manga by Shinobu Ohtaka. It ran in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from June 2009 to October 2017 and was collected in 37 volumes. The story draws on tales from One Thousand and One Nights, above all those around Aladdin, Ali Baba and Sinbad, and sets them in a world of its own, an ancient one where magic is fed by the Rukh.
In 2014 the series received the Shogakukan Manga Award in the shōnen category. A-1 Pictures adapted it as an anime: two seasons of 25 episodes each, from October 2012 to March 2014.
There is also a prequel, Magi: Adventure of Sinbad, which tells Sinbad's earlier story.
