More about Medalist
Medalist is a figure skating manga by Tsurumaikada, serialized since May 2020 in Kodansha's seinen magazine Monthly Afternoon. It centres on Inori Yuitsuka: at eleven, she dreams of a career as a world-class skater, but is considered too late a starter for serious training.
That changes with Tsukasa Akeuraji, a former ice dancer who is himself close to giving up competitive skating. He becomes her coach, and their shared goal is Olympic gold. The anime adaptation was made by ENGI; the first season aired from January to March 2025, the second from January 2026.
Besides the manga volumes, the franchise includes figures such as Sega's Luminasta line and a Nendoroid of Inori.
