More about Shin Megami Tensei
Shin Megami Tensei is the core of Atlus's Megami Tensei series. Its roots lie in Aya Nishitani's Digital Devil Story novel trilogy and in Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei, released by Namco for the Famicom in 1987.
With Shin Megami Tensei for the Super Famicom (1992), Atlus took the series into its own hands: a role-playing game set in a devastated Tokyo, where Law and Chaos struggle over humanity and demons are not only fought but spoken to, recruited and fused. Persona also grew out of this network of spin-offs.
The face of the series is Jack Frost, the small frost spirit in a jester's cap, who is also regarded as the mascot of Atlus. He appears here accordingly often as a Nendoroid, plush or collectible figure.
