More about The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You
Hyakkano, as fans call the series for short, began in December 2019 in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump. Rikito Nakamura writes, Yukiko Nozawa draws. At its centre is Rentaro Aijo, who was rejected 100 times before starting high school. Because of a mistake by the God of Love, he is now destined to have 100 soulmates. Since they would fall into misfortune without requited love, he resolves to love them all at the same time.
The anime adaptation by Bibury Animation Studios first aired from October to December 2023; a second season followed from January to March 2025. The humour of the source is deliberately exaggerated, and the series sees itself as a parody of the harem genre.
The figures so far focus mainly on Hakari Hanazono and Karane Inda, the first two soulmates.
