More about Yona - Prinzessin der Morgendämmerung
Yona - Prinzessin der Morgendämmerung (Akatsuki no Yona) is a manga by Mizuho Kusanagi. It ran in Hana to Yume (Hakusensha) from August 2009 to December 2025. The story is set in an East Asian-inspired fantasy world: Yona, daughter of King Il and princess of the small kingdom of Koka, has to flee after a coup.
With Hak's help, she begins a journey that turns the sheltered princess into a leader, with the aim of protecting Koka from invasion and internal conflict. Adventure, drama and romance are kept in balance.
Studio Pierrot adapted the series as a 24-episode anime in 2014/2015; a sequel from Pierrot Films has been announced. Here you will find the German volumes from Tokyopop, also as Limited Edition.
