VOCALOID is more than just a voice synthesizer—it's the birthplace of a global phenomenon that has revolutionized music, anime, and pop culture. Developed by Yamaha and first unveiled in 2003, VOCALOID empowers creators to produce captivating, humanlike singing simply by inputting melody and lyrics.

The original software debuted with three English-speaking VOCALOIDs, but quickly expanded. With the release of VOCALOID 2 in 2007, vocal samples (rather than just human voice analysis) fueled even more expressive performances, opening the door to iconic characters like Hatsune Miku. Subsequent versions introduced multi-language support, unleashing a diverse cast of singers for fans worldwide.

Today, over 100 unique VOCALOIDs exist—each with their own personalities, stories, and a passionate global fanbase. From stunning figures to unforgettable live concerts, VOCALOID has become a cornerstone for anime and manga fans, blending technology with artistry in mesmerizing ways.
