More about Motoko Kusanagi
Major Motoko Kusanagi, or simply "the Major", is the protagonist of Ghost in the Shell. Masamune Shirow introduced her in the manga in April 1989: a cyborg with a fully artificial body who serves as field commander of Section 9, working against cybercrime.
Her look changes with each adaptation. For the 1995 film, character designer Hiroyuki Okiura gave her a face of her own, different from the manga original. The Stand Alone Complex series redraws her as well, so posture, outfit and proportions differ from figure to figure.
The range runs from the small Nendoroid to the model kit, along with announced new releases.
