Ren - Rhyme Mode

The next of the high-class Wonderful Hobby Selection figures is the AllMate Ren from DRAMAtical Murder. The series started out as a Yaoi Visual Novel from Nitro+chirai in 2012 and was released as an anime series in 2014. The fictional island of Midorijima was bought by the leading company of Japan, the "Toue Konzern" and made into a vacation resort and amusement park of sorts. The former inhabitants got their own quarter in which they have to live under very difficult circumstances. The main character Aoba's companion is the Allmate Ren, who normally walks through the city in a cute dog form. He actually is an artificial intelligence, connected to the internet and can be used to research things and to communicate with others. The series is shaped by clan wars in the streets of the city that are called Ribsteez and by the virtual computer game Rhyme. This version of Ren is based on that very game and shows him in his human form. The base was crafted meticulously as is the long flowing coat he is wearing. The atmosphere of the anime has been captured very well. Ren can also be shown shirtless giving the statue a different feel. This gigantic statue made by Max Factory is a real highlight for every collection.
