More about Hyperdimension Neptunia
Hyperdimension Neptunia is a role-playing series by Compile Heart and Idea Factory. The first game was released in August 2010 for the PlayStation 3, with character designs by Tsunako. The series parodies the video game industry, mostly from a Japanese perspective, and works in references to otaku culture.
It is set in Gamindustri, a pun on "game industry". The world is divided into four nations: Planeptune, Lastation, Lowee and Leanbox. Each is ruled by a goddess (CPU) and stands for a console; Planeptune, for instance, for the Sega Neptune that never came out. The goddesses wage the console war over Shares, the faith of the population.
The games led to a manga, a light novel and, in 2013, an anime series by David Production, followed later by three OVAs. The range runs from Nendoroids to figures in 1/4 scale.
