Model kits are build-them-yourself sets – from a Gunpla Gundam to a character kit. You assemble your figure part by part, which makes it a little more your own.
Build it yourself
A model kit arrives as a set of individual parts you assemble yourself. The best known are Gunpla – the plastic kits from the Gundam series – but plenty of other characters come as kits too.
Glue or snap
Many modern kits are snap-fit: the parts click together without glue, often already in colour. Want more? Trim the nubs, paint and apply decals – anything from an after-work project to a weekend build.
From entry grade to high grade
Grades like HG, RG or MG signal detail and effort. Beginners start with High Grade; the more experienced reach for Real or Master Grade. Bandai sets the tone for Gunpla, but other makers deliver strong kits too.
