Monkey D. Garp's Ship - Grand Ship Collection Vol. 08 - One Piece Model Kit

The ships of the Marine do all look very much the same. The hull is painted in a greenish blue with a darker pattern, maybe to imitate the surface of the sea. They can have different sizes and the weaponry might vary, but they are usually similar to each other and each one has a sail with the Marine's logo on it. Monkey D. Garp's ship is the odd one out, just like the vice admiral and grandfather of Luffy is quite an unusual Marine officer, who always walks a fine line between his job-related duties and the criminal part of his family. Initially, Garp is shown with a dog mask. The same dog head can be seen as the figurehead of Garp's ship, and the sails are attached to bone-shaped rods with dog paws. In addition, there is a big dog house on the deck and the crow's nests on the masts have the same shape. One sail has HQ 3 written on it as well as the kanji 海軍 (kaigun), which means Marine. All dog lovers among you might easily become friends with Garp. Either way, this is a really funny ship for a ship belonging to the Marine!
