More about Ghibli
Studio Ghibli was founded on 15 June 1985 by the directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata and the producer Toshio Suzuki. The impulse came from the success of „Nausicaä aus dem Tal der Winde“ (1984), made at Studio Topcraft, whose equipment and staff Ghibli took over. The studio began as a subsidiary of the publisher Tokuma Shoten; since October 2023 it has belonged to Nippon Television.
This work produced „Mein Nachbar Totoro“, „Kikis kleiner Lieferservice“, „Prinzessin Mononoke“ and „Chihiros Reise ins Zauberland“. Since October 2001 the studio has also had a place of its own for its film worlds: the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, Tokyo.
The products on this page range from plush figures and mini figures in blind boxes to manga editions such as the double-volume edition of „Nausicaä aus dem Tal der Winde“.
